Grand Knight’s Message
As you read this, we are fast approaching our next fraternal year with lots of exciting events. First, though I would thank you all again for a great 2018-2019 year. Congratulations again to those who stood out this past year and received an award. A detailed list can be found on a later page of this newsletter.

Next, I am going tell you that we are hosting a very important event this summer and that is the Supreme Convention. We are the hosts and need many, many volunteers to help make it a success. Without the proper help, we’ll not only let our State down; but also, our brother knights who are visiting us from all over the world. We are still in need of an excess of 150 volunteers for Hierarchy Transportation (Bringing Bishops to & from airport); along with greeters at the Airports, hotels, & convention center. As a greeter you can sit down if you would like and even be accompanied by your wife. You’ll each be provided with a polo shirt to wear during your volunteer shift. I ask you to consider helping and if you have any questions or need assistance in signing up, please reach out to me. Don’t let your Brother Knights down!!!

Finally, I mentioned last year that we are trying new things and working on becoming a better, growing council; so, attached with this newsletter is the Calendar for 2019-2020 year. There some new things on there, please consider joining us for them. Note: As most dates are set, some are subject to change. Watch the monthly newsletter for updates. Our first function of the year is our annual summer social on Saturday July 20th 5:30pm to 8pm. There is no cost to you, but you must RSVP to me by July 17th, so I have enough food.

Vivat Jesus,

Jeremy Hadash
Grand Knight

**NOTICE – COMCAST EMAILS**
The Supreme Council is experiencing issues with emails going to Comcast accounts. We believe that this is how Comcast deals with receiving emails from a ‘NoReply’ process in general (not just from the Knights of Columbus), which is the current industry standard. We are working to determine if the Supreme Council can change our process to allow emails to go through to our members with a Comcast email address.

GK's note about our Council Meetings
As many had hard time with our meetings inside the Hospitality center (gym) in hearing, all except our 2 steak fries will be in another room this year. Please come through the parish center doors. Summer meetings- As there is no staff in the evening, I ask you to be on time. At approximately 5-10 minutes past meeting start time, the doors will lock back up. These are the rules we need follow from the church for the safety and security of everyone.

Membership Reminder
This is a reminder to send in your membership dues. In doing so, you will save the council money. For every member that doesn’t we will have to mail out reminder letters. Once recorded your membership card will be mailed out to you. Also, please take the time to fill out and send back the survey. It would have been the green sheet of paper.

Placemat Ads
Our council takes ads to go onto placemats that we use at Fish Fries and Breakfasts. If you know of a business that would like to place an ad on our placemats, please send me a note at fs@kc5141.org. The ad runs for $50.00 and we make a couple thousand copies of them.
