Grand Knight’s Message
Brother Knights,
I just attended the annual Knights of Columbus State Convention in Rochester. There, Elyssa spoke on behalf of the Ladies Auxiliary State Council.
After the busy couple of months with the Knights it will be nice to have a small break from all of the events we have been involved with and been hosting.
We also have a new pope. Pope Leo XIV is our first Augustinian pope, as well as our first American pope. Born Robert Francis Prevost, in Chicago, he was ordained as a priest in 1982. He served in Peru as a parish pastor, diocesan official, seminary teacher, administrator and then as Bishop of Chiclayo, Peru from 2015 to 2023. In 2023, Pope Francis appointed him prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops and president of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America and made him a cardinal the same year. Pope Leo also has the misfortune of being a white socks fan.

I look forward to seeing you all at the Year End Dinner on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

Vivat Jesus!

Auxiliary News
We celebrated our Lady’s Night Out at The Tavern in Blaine. It was a night of visiting, laughter, and a great meal. Congratulations again to Sandy Resler on being our Auxilian of the year! We were also able to address some last-minute business and make a few more donations even with the volume of the restaurant. Thank you to all who attended!

The year-end audit will be held at Jenny’s home Thursday, July 10th, 6pm. Required attendees are Trustees myself and Kristi L, and Treasurer Sandy. All others are welcome to attend. We will also be doing our installation of officers at this same time. If you are an officer for next year, please plan to attend. All others I encourage to attend and support our incoming officers.
Please bring some sort of food item to share if you are able.

Thank you for a very rewarding and great year as your President. Special thanks to all the officers for the current year. It has been a great year as the Auxiliary President.
The last three years have had some of the most rewarding, and humbling moments for me. I am happy that I took them on. I would not have been able to do it without all of you though. The friendships, and “family” that we have within our Auxiliary is truly special. You all bring something unique to our group, and I hope we can continue to grow as we have been. Keep bringing new ideas, keep supporting the new officers as you supported me and we can continue to be successful!

The ladies do not have meetings during June, July, and in August. See you in September! (Other than the audit and installation of officers)

I hope you all have a wonderful summer!

Prayer intentions are for Steve S., Katrina S., Anita L., Joan H., Lonnie and Marilynn R., and those dealing with personal situations, and all that are dealing with medical/health situations. Special prayers are for these intentions and those held deep within our hearts.

Yours in Christ,
Elyssa Bliss, President

FS Notes
Have you moved, have you changed your phone number, have you made a change to your email address? Please keep the council updated when you have a change of address, change of phone number and finally a change to your email. It really helps us to keep track of where to send things to you. If you have any changes, please forward them onto the FS.

Please look at the back of your membership card. What do you see? It has my contact info. Please make sure your loved ones know this in case you are sick or have passed away.

Former Officers,
The FS is looking for Council Jewels that you may have in your possession. Please turn them in as soon as possible. Bring them to the office at St. Tim’s, we have a mail slot that they can be left in. Thank you.

Members in hospital etc.?
Please contact the FS so that the council can send a card.

Do You Volunteer???
Each year our council files with Supreme a survey report with the amount of time our members spend outside of KC events volunteering.

The list is lengthy, do you help at church, do you deliver meals, do you visit the sick, homebound, do you help a neighbor, I am sure there are many more than that.

What I am asking, is for you to try and keep track of what event it is and how many hours you spend on that event each month.

On the 1st of every month to email me that list and I will include it in the report that I fill out each year. Please email me at fs@kc5141.org. If you don’t have the ability to email me, please call me to share that information. Thank you.
