Grand Knight’s Message

This month we welcomed in our two newest Brother Knights! Congratulations to Shawn Stoner and Josh Myers. We are grateful to have you with us.

Our fraternal year is quickly coming to a close, and at our last general meeting we held our council elections. Thank you to all my officers for everything you’ve done this year.

The Knights of Columbus recently held their state convention, and our council won the State Officers Award of Excellence as well as two competitive awards:
We earned 3rd Place in the Faith Program category for our Good Friday Promotion and our Lenten Fish Fries.
We also received 3rd Place in the Family Program category for our Winter Gear Drive.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered with us this past year.

Our council also only needs one more member to achieve Star Council.
I hope to see you all at our year end dinner.

Vivat Jesus!

Auxiliary News

Dia dhuit (Hello in Irish) Ladies,
Wow, it is already the end of the year. Thank you to everyone who has shown up this past year and followed me as I learned this role. I would count this past year as a big success. We have had a couple of great fundraisers between Turkey BINGO and our Fish Fry Bake Sales.

We have also had a great impact on our community with our book drive for the Children’s Hospital of Minnesota and the clothing collection for the Cardiovascular ICU at the Children’s Hospital.

I want to extend two special ‘thank yous’. First to Elyssa Bliss – thank you for guiding me through this year and lending a listening ear when I needed to vent. And second to Sandy Resler – thank you for also helping to guide me this year. Without you, I would have missed a lot of deadlines and even potentially meetings.

Lastly, here are the final announcements for the 2025-2026 year:
Men’s Year-End Dinner is on Thursday, June 18th, and is being held in the party room at Bev’s place.
Cost is $20 per person; kids 12 and under are free with a paid adult. RSVP to Jeremy by June 11th
Social hour starts at 5:30 pm, the meal at 6:30 pm

Installation of Officers and Audit is Thursday, July 16th. This will be held at Jean’s place and will start at 6 pm with snacks/appetizers.

Our first meeting of the 2026/2027 year will be Thursday, September 17th.

Please continue to think of organizations or groups to donate to, as this will be one of the first things we discuss in the new year.

Thank you,
Jenny Resler

FS Notes

Have you moved, have you changed your phone number, have you made a change to your email address? Please keep the council updated when you have a change of address, change of phone number and finally a change to your email. It really helps us to keep track of where to send things to you. If you have any changes, please forward them onto the FS.

Please look at the back of your membership card. What do you see? It has my contact info. Please make sure your loved ones know this in case you are sick or have passed away.

Former Officers,
The FS is looking for Council Jewels that you may have in your possession. Please turn them in as soon as possible. Bring them to the office at St. Tim’s, we have a mail slot that they can be left in. Thank you.

Members in hospital etc.?
Please contact the FS so that the council can send a card.

Please stand by for an important announcement from the Grand Knight

Safe Environment
The parish has asked us to provide regular training on Safe- Environment Guidelines for those that volunteer with us at Knights of Columbus events. Beginning this month, we will include these guidelines in the guidepost as an ongoing reference, outlining best practices for maintaining a safe and respectful environment. Please read the attachment at the end of the Guidepost to familiarize yourself with these guidelines.

Thank you! You may now return to your normal browsing of the Guidepost
